Q: What are the foods I should avoid if I want to get into the best shape of my life?
A: You can probably list the 5 most delicious foods in your daily or weekly menu and they’ll make this list! Let’s look at the 5 foods you are probably currently enjoying every week that should be scrubbed from your vocabulary forever!
Soda is #1 on the “you must not consume if you want to look good” list. Sugar may be worse for the body than smoking cigarettes, according to some researchers. A can of soda, quickly washing down your lunch can give you 150 or more calories, along with up to a dozen teaspoons of sugar. You wouldn’t give that much sugar to your worst enemy, or even your children, but you put it into your body several times each day. No more of that!
Fast food fries are next on the list. They taste great and are delicious at any red light, but they do make you fat, they force you to retain water, and they take their toll on your health. So you need to start ordering the side salad or make things easier by not eating at restaurants that serve French fries. Good luck finding one!
White bread takes #3 on the list of things you love but should certainly not be eating. Starch is bad for you, and the white bread sets up camp in your lower intestine, taking almost 3 weeks to make its travel to the exit ramp. Most of your relationships don’t last 3 weeks – that bagel shouldn’t either!
Number four on this list is the very lovable dessert tray – anything cake and ice cream related. Stop buying it, and your home reserves will dry up quickly. Stop eating it when you’re out, and your dining bill will get much smaller, along with your waistline.
What’s number 5 on this list? Let’s attribute this progress limiter to salty treats, which force our bodies to retain water and appear bloated, all while delivering enough fat grams to sink (or float) a boat.
There you have it – the 5 foods that are standing in your way of looking the way you want to look. Remove from them your menu and will look more terrific by the day! Leave them on and you’ll always look how you’ve always looked. The choice is yours, and yours alone!
