I wanted to share this video found online showing an adolescent working out. This raised a debate among my friends and I in the gym and the big question is, How young is too young to begin bodybuilding and weight training?

The big question is what do you do if your pre-teen wants to get buff? Do you try to get them into a gym… gently steer them toward strength training instead of bodybuilding… or should kids that age just be playing outside? What do you think?



Strength training for young people is fine as long as the workouts are tailor made for the individual not aduult workouts pulled from a magazine. Their young muscles are not mature enough for those.
